Award-winning willow artist, florist, designer, teacher and design consultant, Jessica studied art and design, at Lincoln Art College, where she left with a distinction.
Jessica won the Gold Award Heckington Show Horticulture’ with her enormous woven willow relaxation pods in 2016.
In 2018 Jessica won the Large Gold Medal at Heckington, winning trade stand of the year.
Jessica has gained 12 years experience in floristry. ‘I love working with nature to create unique designs for different events’. Jessica says; ‘There is nothing better than delivering wedding flowers and seeing the brides face when you have exceeded her expectations, I feel truly honoured that I have such a wonderful job.’
Jessica was first introduced to willow at school where the material captured her attention with it’s unruly nature. The media is truly amazing and can be woven into many forms.
Willow connects Jessica back to the earth, she loves how sustainable it is, growing up to 10ft per year. Jessica gets so much pleasure knowing that she can create something truly British straight from the earth.
Jessica has been teaching for nine years now and has just developed a unique seminar to teach willow pod making. The course will enable all attendees to make their very own pod.
Jessica aim is to keep the dying craft alive by inspiring you to get crafting!
Blooming Crafty is a creative business that is run from home. The business has been running for 9 years.
Starting from home and attending many craft fairs for the first year, Jessica took the jump in 2013 to open her first shop in Ruskington supplying the villagers with flowers and lots of craft workshops. After building clients Jessica now runs her business from home again in 2016 with a shop in the front garden supply; flowers, willow, British vegetables, plants, gifts and more!
